First edition, second printing hardcover copy of Trophy Chess: An Account of the Lessing Rosenwald Tournament by Larry Evans (Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1956). A very hard to find vintage book on an iconic chess tournament, depicted here for educational purposes. With illustrations. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and small tears, especially to top edge of back cover. Boards are straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. All pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
